Stonewin business expansion to Mauritius
Stonewin, a leading fuel supplier to some of the world’s most importantsecurity and defence institutions, is expanding into the commercialbunkering space by launching a physical bunkering operation in PortLouis, Mauritius, effective from January 2nd, 2019.
This expansion into the commercial marine fuels market continues thecompany’s ambitious growth into 2019 and will significantly bolster Stonewin’sposition in the commercial marine fuels market, where it is a leading supplier ofbunker fuels to the government sector around the world.
Stonewin is using the 2008-built, double-hulled bunker barge M/T Hakkasan, to provide customers with quality products,including IFO 180 cst and MGO. Stonewin will provide a fullycontrolled supply chain and a high level of service to its customersin Mauritius, ensuring quality and quantity of products. Allsupplies will be under Stonewin’s Bunker Delivery Note (BDN).
Mauritius is located along one of the world’s largest ocean routes on the East/West trade through the Cape of Good Hopeand offers a safe bunkering option in the Indian Ocean.Stonewin will provide an efficient service, reliable quality andflexibility on quantity.The M/T Hakkasan is anchored in Port Louis, the only entryand exit port for sea vessels in Mauritius. It will provideStonewin’s customers the advantage of no in-port delaysand safe anchorage for bunker calls.
